Michel Cicurel launches a fund to bring banks and fintech together

Founded by the former boss of Edmond de Rothschild, La Maison, which already manages more than $500 million, will launch a fund dedicated to « tech for fin ». It will be reserved for banks and insurers who want to take shares in technology companies linked to the financial sector. Because investors are becoming more and more interested in the sector. « There are a few things that need to be done to bring together the major players in finance and fintech, » explains Michel Cicurel, former head of La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, which founded La Maison, a club of multimillionaire investors (the Dassault family, Michel David-Weill, Martin Bouygues…). « Some need each other and vice versa », adds the banker.
